A packed promotional giveaway schedule awaits when live horse racing returns to Colonial Downs racetrack on Monday.
The track, which is a favorite for horse betting enthusiasts, is located in New Kent outside of the Virginia capital of Richmond.
Beginning this Monday, July 19, the track kicks off its third season since bringing Thoroughbred horse racing back in 2019.
Additionally, Colonial Downs officials, who also run a Rosie’s Gaming Emporium historical horse racing (HHR) facility on-site, have unveiled promotional giveaways for five select dates.

Horse races at Colonial Downs take place every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
Daily post time is 1:45 p.m. Parking is free, as is general admission seating. Additionally, reserved grandstand seating starts at just $5.
Each race date has $500,000 in purses as horses jockey for their share. In all, the 2021 Colonial Downs season offers 25 stakes races.
The seven-week season includes the New Kent County Virginia Derby on Aug. 31. Then, the season concludes the following day, on Sept. 1.
If you’re on-site at Colonial Downs, you can bet on horse racing action while there. However, you can also watch the races and place bets via TVG.

In addition to Colonial Downs, TVG offers betting and video streaming for tracks across the globe.

The first 1,000 fans through the gates each day receive the giveaway item.

With the Virginia vaccination rate steadily rising and life slowly returning to normal, horseplayers are ready.
As John Marshall, executive vice president of operations at Colonial Downs Group, stated:
