The New Year’s Millionaire Raffle gets more successful every year. In fact, the 2022 New Year’s raffle was the most popular yet.
In all, officials made 500,000 tickets available starting on Nov. 2, and lotto players snatched up almost 80% up by mid-December.
The wild popularity of the annual Virginia Lottery holiday raffle was evident when sales outpaced the previous year by almost 5% in mid-December. Now, the Virginia Lottery is at it again with the $100K Rose Gold Raffle.
Lottery officials are making 50,000 raffle tickets available for purchase with a $100,000 grand prize for each of two lucky winners.
While tickets for the New Year’s Millionaire Raffle were available at the lottery’s 5,000 retail locations, that won’t be the case for the Rose Gold Raffle.
For this round, players can purchase raffle tickets only online.
How to play Virginia Lottery’s $100K Rose Gold Raffle
Those who want to try their hand at this online-only Virginia Lottery raffle can buy their tickets from here. Each ticket costs $10. And, once you make a purchase, officials cannot cancel or refund tickets.
Each sold raffle ticket contains a ticket number that’s unique. The numbers issued are in sequential order according to when each ticket is sold.
When all 50K tickets have been sold, an immediate automated drawing will take place, which will determine the prize winners.
Should tickets not sell out, the automated drawing will take place roughly 180 days after the ticket sales began.
Once drawings take place to determine the winning raffle tickets, players can match their numbers with the ticket numbers that the lottery draws. Numbers must match exactly to be considered winners.
Each winning ticket and its respective prize will show on the winning player’s online lottery account. Prizes will be added to the player’s account instantly or will be made available to the winner by claim submission.
The Virginia Lottery will post the winning ticket numbers on the lottery website. After that, the raffle will begin again, and players can purchase more raffle tickets for the next round with the same rules and prizes.
Prize structure for Rose Gold Raffle
While this online raffle’s top prize is $100,000, there are other prize tiers for winners. The odds of winning any prize in this raffle are 1 in 17.53.
Here are the potential Rose Gold Raffle payouts and odds:
- Two top prize winners will be awarded $100,000 each. The odds of winning the top prize are 1 in 25,000.
- 100 winners will be awarded $500 each. The odds of winning this prize tier are 1 in 500.
- 250 winners will be awarded $100 each. The odds of winning this prize tier are 1 in 200.
- 2,500 winners will be awarded $50 each. The odds of winning this prize tier are 1 in 20.
Tickets for the 100K Rose Gold Raffle began on April 5, 2022. As of April 14, players had purchased more than half of the tickets, with a little fewer than 24,000 tickets remaining.
