It’s nearly 4,000 miles from Virginia to Paris, site of the 2024 Summer Olympic Games.

For Virginians not planning on traveling across the ocean to see the Olympics live, the Virginia Lottery is bringing the Games to the Commonwealth.

The Lottery’s new game, Team USA, is powered by 916 Gaming and EQL Games. Players can win prizes up to $300,000.

Team USA puts you into the Olympic action

Team USA immerses Virginia Lottery players into various Olympic competitions. Archery, track & field, and gymnastics are among the sports represented in the game, said Scott Kenyon, Virginia Lottery director of marketing.

“The opportunity to offer games that align with the start of the Olympics and Paralympics only happens every two years, and the Lottery saw this as a great chance to engage with fans. EQL and 916 Gaming have created fantastic games that our players can enjoy as they cheer on Team USA athletes.”

The Lottery’s relationship with 916 Gaming further expands the Lottery’s ongoing deal with EQL Games. Early 2024 saw the Lottery team up with EQL for Pariplay, a library of e-Instants.

Currently, Virginians can enjoy more than 100 online games, including instants, draw games (Powerball, Mega Millions, and others), and keno. Anyone 18 or older in the state can sign up to play online.

The Opening Ceremony kicks off the Paris Olympics next week. In the US, all eyes will be on Simone Biles following her departure from the 2020 Games out of mental health concerns. She seems as dominant as ever and is poised to make a major impact in France.
