With some new 2022 raffle winners, the latest Virginia’s New Year’s Millionaire Raffle from the Virginia Lottery is in the books.

On Saturday, Jan. 1, the annual raffle took place. As in past years, raffle tickets sold out well before the drawing date.

In all, 510 total 2022 raffle winners claimed a prize of at least $500 in the popular drawing.

However, those $500 prizes paled in comparison to the game’s biggest paydays.

Virginia’s New Year’s Millionaire Raffle produced winners from all across the commonwealth.

As a reminder, the following prizes were up for grabs:

  • $1 million: 4 winners
  • $100,000: 6 winners
  • $500: 500 winners

The Hampton Roads region had its fair share of 2021 raffle winners. In fact, two of the $1 million winners came from Virginia Beach last year.

This year, Lady Luck was a little more varied with her good fortunes, with winners from all corners of Virginia. Hampton Roads again had multiple winners, but the northern and western parts of the commonwealth got in on the action.

Here’s a look at where the bigger winning tickets were sold:

In all, the Virginia Lottery offered 500,000 tickets for the 2022 Virginia’s New Year’s Millionaire Raffle.

With odds of 1 in 125,000 of winning $1 million, the raffle offers Virginia lotto players their best chance to become a millionaire.

The VA Lottery first offered the raffle in 2007. The total number of tickets and top prizes have grown throughout the years due to the raffle’s popularity.
