Aaron Rodgers Is Out, But You Can Still Get 30-1 Odds On KC Chiefs

Aaron Rodgers

The skidding Washington Football Team is on a merciful bye week, but a potential 30-1 cash money payout awaits for the Green Bay Packers (minus Aaron Rodgers) vs. Kansas City Chiefs.

Washington (2-6), which is tied for last in the NFC East, is coming off a frustrating 17-10 road loss to the Denver Broncos. There’s no better time for the struggling and banged-up squad to get a week of recovery to regroup for the second half of the 2021-22 season.

In the meantime, what about your NFL betting? With its bet $5, win $150 promo, FanDuel Virginia is offering new users the chance for a 30-1 (+3000) payout. And it’s for an NFL Week 9 game that should have plenty of football fans watching.

Aaron Rodgers out, but Packers-Chiefs promo stands

The Green Bay Packers (7-1) visit the Kansas City Chiefs (4-4) on Sunday for a 4:25 p.m. game on Fox.

It was already one of the marquee games of NFL Week 9. Then Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was ruled out due to Covid-19. And, as you might imagine, the football world went crazy:

A game that already had a lot of interest has now become even more of a must-watch.

And to bring a little more attention to Sunday’s game, FanDuel, a Virginia sportsbook that’s dominating the local market, has rolled out a promo for first-time depositors.

Once you register, deposit and place your first real-money wager on the Packers or Chiefs within the FanDuel mobile app, you’re eligible.

The offer, which replaces any other sign-up promos, pays 30-1 on a $5 bet. So if you bet $5, you get $150 in winnings.

And best of all, your profit comes in the form of cash money in your account. In other words, your winnings will not be bonus bets that must then be wagered again. They won’t arrive as site credit. There are also no wagering requirements for the winnings, as some sportsbooks might require.

So, if your bet wins, the $150 is yours to use as you please. Roll it over into new wagers. Let it sit in your account. Or simply withdrawal it and enjoy your spoils.

Pick Green Bay or KC for “bet $5, win $150”

As of Wednesday morning, the Chiefs were 1-point favorites over the 1-point underdog Packers. On the moneyline, the Packers were -102, and the Chiefs were -116. And the total was 54.5.

But that all changed just at mid-day.

Despite the Packers’ seven-game winning streak, the betting momentum quickly shifted to the Chiefs. You can thank Rodgers for that.

After some line movement by early Wednesday afternoon, FanDuel had moved the Chiefs to 7.5-point favorites. The Packers’ line had shifted 6.5 points, and they were 7.5-point underdogs with backup QB Jordan Love under center.

Most dramatically? The over-under for the game had plunged a full touchdown, from 54.5 to 47.5

As you consider that FanDuel promo and the potential for $150 in winnings, do you go with GB or KC?

The QB situation will clearly be a question mark for the Cheese Heads. However, with the likely returns of Davante Adams and Allen Lazard this week from the Covid-19 list, all’s not lost.

Additionally, keep in mind that the Packers are coming off a big Thursday Night Football win over the Arizona Cardinals on Oct. 28 and will have 10 days of recovery between games. The Chiefs, meanwhile, narrowly beat the struggling Giants on Monday Night Football this week and will have four fewer days of rest.
