Thursday Night Football

The 2021 NFL season kicks off this week with Thursday Night Football, and Virginia online sportsbooks have unveiled a host of juicy promotions.

Let’s make one thing very clear: Football season is king for US sportsbooks. Their entire year can be determined in the fall with the NFL season and NCAA college football games.

And because this time of the year is so crucial, sportsbooks scramble to sign up new customers and keep their current players happy.

What does that mean for you? Plenty of Virginia sports betting promos.

And for the season-opening Thursday Night Football game this week, VA sportsbooks are offering crazy-good odds, free bets, and even a free NFL jersey.

DraftKings’ Thursday Night Football no-brainer

The Thursday Night Football game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Dallas Cowboys is a can’t-miss affair. Behind quarterback Tom Brady, Tampa Bay is the defending Super Bowl champions. And the Cowboys? Well, “America’s Team” doesn’t really need an introduction now, does it?

Sure, Dallas is coming off a down year, but with QB Dak Prescott back under center, Thursday’s matchup with Brady and the Bucs is an explosive way to kick off the NFL season.

Although Tampa Bay has been a -7.5 to -8.5 favorite heading into the game, you can get a better line. Much better.

Thanks to the latest “No-BrainerDraftKings VA promo, DK bettors get the Bucs at +73. Yes, DraftKings is spotting them 73 points at -110 odds. So, if the Cowboys squash the Bucs by a score of 79-7, you still win your bet since Dallas couldn’t cover the 73-point spread.

Obviously, with a spread this good, there are some restrictions. Most notably? Bettors are limited to one wager of no more than $50 for the promotion.

Of course, if you’re new to DraftKings, you get some other killer promos:

Bet $1, Get $200! Wager on any game in week 1 and you are instantly credited. Plus, a $50 free bet and a 20% bonus up to $1,000 on your first deposit.

Cash in as Caesars fades Tampa Bay

Speaking of no-brainer bets, Caesars VA has one of its own.

The sportsbook is offering +100 odds on Tampa Bay to score at least one point. Yes, 1 point.

Either Caesars is throwing a bone to its customers, or the company’s traders have somehow forgotten that Tampa Bay had the second-best offense in the NFL last year.

It’s probably the former and not the latter, which is why customers are limited to one wager of no more than $50.

Still, barring an epic offensive letdown for Brady and the gang, this bet should hit pretty quickly into the game.

Speaking of Caesars, there’s another reason to sign up if you haven’t already. New customers get a risk-free bet of up to $5,000 at sign-up. However, both new and current players can score an authentic NFL jersey.

As we previously reported, Caesars is offering a $150 voucher to to be used toward an NFL jersey of your choosing. All you have to do is make at least $100 in NFL wagers, and you have the entire month of September to do it.

Dallas backers can “Triple the Spread” at WynnBET

Although the above promos are largely targeted toward Buccaneers fans, Cowboys backers have a treat at WynnBET VA.

For the Thursday Night Football game, WynnBET is offering a “Triple the Spread” promo. Instead of getting the Cowboys at +7.5, bettors get Dallas at +22.5.

Players are limited to one wager of no more than $20 for the promo.

Sure, you’re not going to get rich with that max-bet restriction. But even during a disappointing 6-10 season last year, the Cowboys lost by at least 22.5 points just twice – to Arizona (38-10) and Washington (41-16). And with the Cowboys the favorites to win the NFC East (+150)  this season, the oddsmakers expect 2021 to be a much better campaign for Dallas.

And don’t forget that new WynnBET users also receive a risk-free bet of up to $1,000.

Free Thursday Night Football bets at BetMGM

Rounding out our list of TNF specials is one at BetMGM VA. In fact, it’s two promos.

The sportsbook is offering all customers two $10 free bets to use on NFL Week 1.

Once you’ve opted in, you get a $10 free bet on Thursday and another one on Sunday. Use the first one on Thursday Night Football, if you wish.

And put your other to use during Sunday’s full slate of games, including the Washington Football Team‘s home game against the Los Angeles Chargers.

New to BetMGM? In addition to the “Football is back!” free bets, new players get a risk-free bet of up to $1,000 at sign-up.
